July 17, 2026 / Structure Fire 7100 Clarendon Hills Rd., Darien

At approximately 1354 hours on Friday July 17, 2026, the Tri-State Fire Protection District was dispatched for a structure fire at 7100 Clarendon Hills Road, Darien Community Park.

Upon arrival, the initial company observed heavy smoke and flames coming from the outbuilding at the center of the park which housed bathrooms and a storage room. Crews advanced hose lines from the north parking lot off 71st Street and extinguished the fire.

There were no civilian or firefighter injuries. The fire is believed to be arson and remains under investigation by Tri-State FPD, the Office of the State Fire Marshal, and Darien Police. No further information is available at this time.

Tri-State Fire District was assisted by units from the Darien-Woodridge Fire District, Pleasantview Fire District, and the Westmont Fire Department.
