At the October Board of Trustees meeting, Firefighters Joseph Hicks, Kathryn Hoffman, and Nicholas Charlton were presented with the Fire Chief’s Citation Award for all their work with the nonprofit charity Project Fire Buddies. Firefighters Hicks, Hoffman and Charlton formed the Tri-State Chapter of Project Fire Buddies in 2022 and have dedicated countless hours both on and off duty working with local families with a child battling a serious illness. Firefighters Hicks, Hoffman and Charlton are the first recipients of the Fire Chief’s Citation award. Congratulations!
