Firefighter Hicks was among three firefighters who formed the Tri-State Chapter of Project Fire Buddies in 2022. He has dedicated countless hours both on and off duty working with local families with a child battling a serious illness. Firefighter Hicks is among the first three recipients of the Fire Chief’s Citation award.
