8730-skylineThe Tri-State Fire District was called at 2:27 AM on November 22, 2016 for a reported fire at 8730 Skyline Drive, Unincorporated Willowbrook. Companies arrived to find heavy smoke and fire coming from the rear of a two-story residence. Crews extinguished the fire with multiple hose lines. The building suffered significant damage. The residence was occupied at the time of the fire and all occupants were able to escape without incident after being awakened by breaking glass from the intense heat of the exterior fire. It is unknown if there was a working smoke detector inside the home. The cause of the fire is under investigation and is believed to have started on the rear wood deck and spread up the exterior siding to the first and second floors. There were no injuries to civilian or fire personnel. Tri-State crews were assisted by Pleasantview FPD, Westmont FD, Lemont FPD, York Center FPD, Darien-Woodridge FPD, Oak Brook Terrace FPD, Riverside FD, Downers Grove FD, Romeoville FD and Northwest Homer FPD
